Experience the working life of ICRAR’s astronomers, engineers and educators with a work experience placement. Our work covers many different areas, all related to astronomy and astrophysics, including computing and engineering.
During a work experience placement students will experience the variety of work ICRAR does and get a taste of what a day in the life of an astronomer/engineer is like.
How to organise a placement
ICRAR offers a limited number of work experience places for high school students. If you’re interested in spending your work experience placement with ICRAR, you can complete an application form online. ICRAR is a diverse and welcoming workplace, and we specifically encourage young women and Indigenous and Torres Strait Islander students to consider joining us for our work experience program.
What’s involved?
To see what a work experience placement at ICRAR might be like, read about the week from a student’s point of view in our work experience blogs.
