One of ICRAR’s projects to support teachers in the classroom is creating a suite of program resources to deliver astronomy focused lessons in the classroom.

First available lesson – The Electromagnetic Spectrum
This lesson focuses on understanding the Electromagnetic Spectrum.
Students will learn about the electromagnetic spectrum by:
- Working together to create a spectrum.
- Exploring what light is and the relationship between wavelength and energy.
- Listing through the different types of light and understanding their uses in our everyday lives.
- Investigating images of celestial objects in different types of light and the application of the electromagnetic spectrum in astronomy.
