Note: we will update this page regularly to cover the range of FAQ we encounter.

Do I need to register at the same time as submitting an abstract?
No, abstracts can be submitted without registering.

How do I access the ASA Slack space?
The Slack space is available to active ASA members, with temporary access provided to registrants of the ASM who are not ASA members. It can be accessed with a valid login here: https://asa-comms.slack.com

What tech platforms will be used to deliver the online-first ASM?
We are still finalising our plans, but the current plan will be to have a base solution (e.g. maximum accessibility) that combines the ASA Slack with either Zoom/YouTube, and an additional interactive and more immersive option that is both desktop and VR-compatible. We will communicate more details about our technical plans in the coming weeks.

Is the HWSA also taking place online?
See the HWSA page for details about its planned format and dates.

What does online-first mean in the context of the ASM?
It means prioritising the online format as the primary means of interaction, and designing the meeting to make good use of online interaction. See also this letter explaining our approach to this year’s meeting.
