Stargirls Midwest 2024

Date: 06/03/2024

On March 6th & 7th 2024 we’re excited to be bringing our Stargirls STEM Camp to Geraldton!

What is Stargirls?

This camp is a FREE event, open to all high school girls and underrepresented genders in years 8-12. During this two-day camp, held in Geraldton, Western Australia, students will get hands-on experience with astronomy research, and meet some of the women who have made their careers in astrophysics, engineering, and data science.

If you are interested in a career in Astronomy, Engineering or Data Science, this is an opportunity to practice some real-world skills and talk to leading experts in the field.

  • Each day will run from 9am – 3pm. You will need to arrive by 8:45.
  • The camp will be hosted at the SKAO Building, Level 1, 7a Chapman Road, Geraldton (located inside the ITC Building). Please note that this building is only accessible by stairs.
  • This is a day camp, which will require transport to and from our location in Geraldton each day.
  • Food will be provided throughout the event.
