I’m Adam Marshall, a Research Associate at the International Centre for Radio Astronomy Research (ICRAR). I joined ICRAR after completing my PhD at the Institute of Astronomy, University of Cambridge, UK, where my research focused on disentangling the light emitted by supermassive black holes from that of their host galaxies. This work aimed to improve our understanding of the co-evolution of black holes and galaxies, and ultimately the evolution of the matter we observe in the Universe today.

This research has continued throughout my postdoctoral position, where I have also become involved in developing the next generation of multi-wavelength datasets used to study galaxy emission across the electromagnetic spectrum via the Wide-Area Vista Extragalatic Survey (WAVES). By combining observations spanning a broad range of wavelengths, we are working to provide a more complete picture of the physical processes governing galaxy evolution and the growth of supermassive black holes.
