Rather than providing a host of different poster templates which probably wouldn’t suit many staff members’ styles, we have instead created these simple to use logo blocks for scientific posters. Each block includes the required logos for every poster, at the right spacings. There are options for dark background and light backgrounds.
To use the logo block, select the appropriate file format and place it into whatever program you are using to create your poster. The PNG files are suitable for PowerPoint or similar, and the EPS files will work well in LaTeX. It will be easiest to create your poster if you insert the logo block from the very beginning, rather than trying to rearrange everything to fit it in later.
If you have a patterned background, please insert a rectangle of white or black (whichever is closer to your image) behind the logo block. As a reminder, the ICRAR, Curtin and UWA logos are all never to be used on a patterned background without black or white behind them. For example, when using the logo on top of an astro image, put a black background behind it. If unsure, feel free to contact Rocky and we can advise on your specific poster. If you need to include other institutions’ logos on your poster, we are happy to make a custom logo block for you to fit your available space – just send us an email.
