Astrofest 2012 is proud to invite the Western Australian astrophotography community to submit astrophoto entries to this year’s astrophotography exhibition.

  • Entrants may submit entries such as star trail, night-scape, solar system objects (moon, sun, planets) or deep space images, in the form of astro-photos, timelapse video, or related digital imaging such as 360 degree virtual reality.
  • The exhibition is open to any photographer or astronomer, (professional or amateur), adults and youth, who reside in Australia.
  • Astronomers and photographers are invited to submit up to 7 entries for the 2012 exhibition.

Sponsored by the WA Department of Commerce and supported by Astrofest 2012, The International Centre for Radio Astronomy Research (ICRAR), The World At Night, and Celestial Visions.

Please note, we've had reported problems using the online form.  If you didn't receive a 'thankyou/confirmation' page or a confirmation email of your submission, we haven't received it, but never fear it's not too late!  Email us direct with your submission and we'll accept it. The easiest way to submit is to email directly to John Goldsmith (john.goldsmith@icrar.org).  If you've previously submitted a form, but didn't receive confirmation, please resubmit by emailing John direct. Sorry for the inconvenience everyone.

When

Submissions closed on Thursday, 8th March 2012.  Successful entrants will be contacted by the 23rd of March. 

Entries will be assessed and selected for exhibition, according to their aesthetic appeal, innovation and creativity, technical achievement and astronomical significance.
