Seminar: The Structure of Young Stellar Clusters

Mike Kuhn

Penn State, USA

The study of massive star forming regions is an area of intense ongoing scientific inquiry. The spatial distribution of stars in these regions relates to many important open questions, including the chronology of star formation, the formation of massive stars, and star formation efficiency. As an example I will discuss the young stellar cluster W40, which is one of the nearest massive star forming regions.
